July 7, 2017 --- Before my recent move to Minneapolis, some Portland friends and I got together in the recording studio to try out an unusual idea. We each brought in an original song none of us had ever heard before—each having an hour to learn and record each other's songs.

Below is the recording of the one I brought. I wrote it sometime in 2010 or 11. In the recording I'm singing and playing guitar along with John Kelley on piano, Steve Hefter on bass, Leonard Mynx on lead guitar and Ian Cameron Lyles on drums. Enjoy!

March 17, 2017 ---  Two JMIAW songs were recently selected for use in the independent film Everything Is Wonderful. The film, released on February 7, 2017, features instrumental versions of "Ancient Wave" and "We're Reborn II" from the 2014 album Jarad Miles In Ancient Wave.

February 11, 2016 --- In the summer of 2013, we performed a few songs in this large studio space while filming the short film Ancient Wave: A Musical Portrait. Here's one of them:

June 9, 2015 --- This is the new music video for our second single, "We're Reborn II" from the album, Jarad Miles In Ancient Wave. Dancing by Heidi Hines. Directed by Justin Koleszar.

July 15, 2014 --- We are happy to announce the release of the new short music film Ancient Wave - A Musical Portrait by Norwegian director, Carsten Aniksdal. The film is based on the 2013 music album Jarad Miles In Ancient Wave and features five of the album's twelve songs. Here we see Miles through the eyes of Aniksdal as they travel west from the South Dakota countryside to the Oregon Coast.

January 27, 2014 --- Excited to present a new collection of drawings and collages from writer/collagist, Jhaki Schneller. JMIAW: In Sketches is a collection of works inspired by the music album, Jarad Miles In Ancient Wave. Each sketch depicts a song from the album as heard and felt by the artist.

For further dimensions, check out this Flickr set of the sketches alongside the accompanying track's lyrics while you listen to the album.
